Dr. Nelson is a highly skilled physician double board certified in General Surgery and Hand Surgery. He treats each patient with compassion and dignity. Our staff is committed to listening to each patient’s concerns. If he can treat a patient without surgery, he will absolutely exhaust all non-surgical options before proceeding to surgical treatment. If Dr. Nelson feels a patient requires a higher level of care, he will make sure the patient gets in to the proper tertiary care specialist. He has hospital privileges at YRMC for those patients requiring hospitalization.
Dr. Nelson emphasizes minimally invasive approaches to surgery whenever possible. This includes: endoscopic carpal tunnel release.
