Dr. Nelson started his private practice with the vision of creating a medical practice that treats every patient with dignity and excellent care. The office staff are well-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a doctor can be a stressful experience. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate staff will ease your fears.

About Eric R. Nelson MD

Eric has been practicing general and hand surgery in Prescott since completing his training in 2001. He is board certified in General Surgery as well as Hand Surgery.
His preparation for his career began with a degree in Chemistry from Wheaton College in Illinois. Following this he attended the University of Illinois and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his general surgical training at the Michigan State University program in Grand Rapids, Michigan serving as chief resident there in his fifth year. Finally, he did his hand fellowship at the prestigious Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Louisville, Kentucky.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Nelson has expertise in hand, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and endocrine surgery, as well as gastrointestinal endoscopy.

He loves living in Prescott with his wife Heather and their five children. He enjoys exploring Prescott by foot or bicycle.
