About Eric R. Nelson MD
Eric has been practicing general and hand surgery in Prescott since completing his training in 2001. He is board certified in General Surgery as well as Hand Surgery.
His preparation for his career began with a degree in Chemistry from Wheaton College in Illinois. Following this he attended the University of Illinois and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his general surgical training at the Michigan State University program in Grand Rapids, Michigan serving as chief resident there in his fifth year. Finally, he did his hand fellowship at the prestigious Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Louisville, Kentucky.
He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Nelson has expertise in hand, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and endocrine surgery, as well as gastrointestinal endoscopy.
He loves living in Prescott with his wife Heather and their five children. He is also an avid commuter cyclist and mountain biker.
Kathie has been working with Dr. Nelson since January 2008, and Jackie has been working with Dr. Nelson since August 2012. Our friendly staff will help you with your referrals and scheduling needs.
